Buyer Beware When the House Has Tile Floors

After scrimping and saving for five long years, my husband and I finally had enough money to make a down payment on the house of our dreams. We were absolutely thrilled. The house had all new appliances, and fresh paint with colors I could actually live with. There were tiles throughout the house, which meant no worries about carpet cleaning. The former owners had loads of area rugs throughout all of the rooms. Considering the owner had tons of knickknacks all over the place, I just thought she was a little on the eccentric side. I was very wrong. Right after the closing, we went to the house to clean it. I wanted it pristine for moving all of our new furniture in. My jaw dropped. Little did we know that those area rugs placed everywhere in the house were covering horrible stains! I was in a state of shock. There’s no way that we could afford to replace all of the tile.
